Plastic crystal chandeliers, mirrored ceilings and 70’s-era finishes are giving way to a fresh new look at Kendall Medical Plaza on the campus of Kendall Regional Medical Center in Miami.
Greenfield is putting on the finishing touches of the 35-year-old building’s interior makeover. The work is part of Greenfield’s overall modernization efforts since purchasing the building with tenant partners in 2005. During the last four years, the building has received a new coat of exterior paint, new roof, new air conditioning systems, new flooring, ceilings, lighting, elevator cabs, modern signage, more under-building parking, security cameras and suite doors.
Mike Kline, on-site property manager, has directed much of the renovation and says he is happy the major work of the project is concluding. "Our doctors have waited patiently for this project to come and for it to be completed," Kline said. "The interior work took a lot of nights and weekends to cut down on disruptions."
According to Kline, long-time patients of physicians in the building have said the makeover has completely transformed it. "They say it even smells better and that it shows the doctors care about the health of their patients," Kline said.
